SPREE
SPREE

SPREE (South Platte River Environmental Education) is an experiential outdoor education program that provides opportunities for students to learn about the history and ecology of the region through hands on activities along the South Platte River in Denver. SPREE serves students from around metro Denver, but focuses primarily on students in the Denver Public Schools. Through SPREE these students take day excursions out of their classrooms and to the South Platte River.

SPREE is the educational arm of the non-profit organization called The Greenway Foundation. To learn more about The Greenway Foundation, please visit www.greenwayfoundation.org.

Our mission is to inspire meaningful personal connections with nature in order to foster a lifelong sense of pride in, belonging to, and stewardship for our natural world by connecting the children of Denver to the South Platte River through engaging educational experiences.
