SPREE
SPREE

The cornerstones of the SPREE program are our SPREE schools. SPREE schools are schools that have adopted SPREE school wide. At these schools, students visit the South Platte River every year from kindergarten through 5th grade. These students build a strong and meaningful relationship with the river as they progress through their SPREE excursions. SPREE schools also infuse the South Platte River into other aspects of school life and curriculum.

There are currently eight SPREE schools:

Fairview Elementary
Gilpin K-8 School
Grant Ranch School
McKinley Thatcher Elementary
Palmer Elementary School
Southmoor Elementary
Steele Elementary
Teller Elementary

If you think your school would like to be a SPREE school, please Contact Us for more information.

Our mission is to inspire meaningful personal connections with nature in order to foster a lifelong sense of pride in, belonging to, and stewardship for our natural world by connecting the children of Denver to the South Platte River through engaging educational experiences.
