Art on the River
In 2007, the Greenway Foundation partnered with the Art Students League of Denver to create Art on the River. Each year, professional artists come from around Denver to one location on the South Platte River to create art inspired by the river. The artwork created during Art on the River is then put on display, and for sale, at the Art Students League Gallery in Denver

SPREE helps students from Denver's SPREE Schools to participate in this unique event. This year, students from SPREE Schools will create art along the South Platte River at Grant Frontier Park, and their artwork will be put on display right next to the professional pieces at the Art Student's League Gallery. The Gallery opening is on Friday, November 6th.

This year, artist Emanuel Martinez will join us for Art on the River and will be working with the kids to create the first three panels of the Mile High Mural. Each kid who participates on Sunday, October 18th will be able to paint some part of the mural that will then be displayed at the gallery and then permanently installed along the Cherry Creek at Confluence Park!
